It was a mercy-rule victory on Friday night for the Saucon Valley Panthers over the Northern Lehigh Bulldogs. Saucon never punted and put up forty-two 1st Half points. With Panther reserves playing the entire 2nd Half, the Bulldogs were held to 128 yards of total offense. Of course, with those types of stats there had to be quite a few big plays. So, here is a defensive gem performed by outside linebacker, Ian Csicsek.
On 1st & 10 from their own 37-yardline and trailing the Panthers 20-0 early in the 2nd Quarter, the Bulldogs went to the air to try and generate some offense. However, Csicsek from his outside linebacker position near the bottom of the screen was all over the Bulldog tight end as he broke toward the Panther sideline. When the ball was delivered, Csicsek broke under the Northern Lehigh receiver, made the interception and raced toward the end zone. It was a great defensive effort by Ian!
