An Upper Bucks County municipality is changing the date when it will hold Trick-or-Treat less than a week before the originally scheduled date, due to “popular demand.”

Springfield Township Police said in an announcement published on their Crimewatch website Tuesday that instead of Sunday, Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m., Trick-or-Treat in the township including Springtown will now be held on Halloween Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m., which is its “traditional time slot.”

The Springtown Halloween Parade is still scheduled to be held Sunday at 1 p.m., and will be followed by hot dogs and apple cider for everyone at the Springtown Volunteer Fire Company.

Springfield Township Police said previously that they will be out in Springtown in “full force (during Trick-or-Treat)…in order to slow traffic on Rt. 212/Main Street for the children to safely cross the street.”

Hellertown borough and Lower Saucon Township’s Trick-or-Treat will be held this Sunday, Oct. 28 from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Saucon Valley Spirit Parade was held Sunday. Click here to see photos, video and find out what the results were.
