A 91-year-old Hellertown man who died Nov. 1 was a World War II veteran and an ex-POW who survived an interrogation by the Nazi Schutzstaffel (SS) and a forced march across Germany after he parachuted out of a burning airplane over Linz, Austria in 1944, according to his obituary published by The Bernardsville News.
Donald T. Reznicek, formerly of Basking Ridge, N.J., and White Plains, N.Y., was an Army Air Corps veteran who went on to have a career in international personnel at General Foods Corp. and Bristol-Meyers Corp. in New York, the obituary stated.
