Lower Saucon Township Police say an upper Bucks County man was charged with a motor vehicle code violation after he allegedly backed into a Giant Food Store employee in the parking lot outside the supermarket at 1880 Leithsville Road Monday.
In a news release, police said Martin Staff, of the 2500 block of Old Bethlehem Road, Springfield Township, told them the carts collector was “in his way” as he was backing out of a parking space.
Police said Staff left the scene following the accident–which happened at around 5:50 p.m.–and was later identified.
Staff was charged with “limitations on backing,” they added.
The news release didn’t indicate whether the carts collector suffered any injuries in the accident.
