In addition to coffee and donuts, a popular regional restaurant chain is serving up something else this spring–college scholarships.
The Dunkin’ Donuts Philadelphia Regional Scholarship Program will award up to 25 one-time scholarships of $2,000 to high school seniors who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in fall 2015 for the entire 2015-16 academic year, according to the scholarship program’s website.
The program is open to students from throughout southeastern Pennsylvania–including Northampton and Lehigh counties–northern Delwaware and southern New Jersey.
To be eligibile, students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent). Full or part-time Dunkin’ Donuts employees who meet other eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Dependents of franchise owners are not eligible for the scholarships, however.
“Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations and unusual personal or family circumstances,” according to the scholarship website. “Financial need is not considered.”

All applicants will be notified of their application status by email in early May, the website says.
