Lower Saucon Township Police want to identify a man they say fraudulently used a township resident’s debit card to make nearly $300 in purchases at Allentown and Whitehall stores on the afternoon of Sunday, March 15.

In a news release issued Wednesday, police said the card was used to make a $145.34 purchase at a Hess gas station on Hamilton Boulevard in Allentown, a $60.86 purchase at a Rite Aid on MacArthur Road Road in Whitehall and an $84.97 purchase at Against All Odds at the Lehigh Valley Mall.

Against All Odds is described in a Wikipedia entry as “a United States retail chain that predominantly sells clothing inspired by hip hop culture.”

Police said the man believed to have used the card illegally is black, in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and has a beard.

Anyone with information about his identity or the fraudulent transactions is asked to contact township police at 610-317-6110.

Police did not say how the man came to possess the township resident’s debit card.
