A Lower Saucon Township man was cited for allegedly driving at an unsafe speed after police say he caused a chain reaction-style accident on Leithsville Road (Rt. 412) outside the entrance to the Creekside Marketplace shopping center Friday.

In a news release issued Monday, township police said Gerald Ulmer, of the 3100 block of Flint Hill Road, struck the back of a Bethlehem Township man’s car shortly before 4 p.m.

The impact from that collision propelled the Bethlehem Township man’s car into a car driven by a Hellertown man, and that car was then pushed into a fourth vehicle operated by a different Hellertown man, police said.
