Police to Public: Help ID Man Who Nearly Hit Kids in Store Parking Lot

Lower Saucon Township Police are asking members of the public to help identify a man they say nearly struck two children as he drove “at a high rate of speed” through the Giant Food Store parking lot on Leithsville Road Saturday night.

Police released surveillance images Tuesday of the man and the maroon Toyota pickup truck they say he was driving at the time.

The man seen in the surveillance photo is white and wearing glasses, a cap and a red and white, short-sleeve shirt.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call the Northampton County Non-Emergency number — 610-759-2200 — and reference Lower Saucon Police Department incident 20150822M9782.
