Loose Cow Ran Into Club Parking Lot, Police Say

Loose cows drew a police response to an area near Flint Hill Road for the second time in less than a week Wednesday, according to a Lower Saucon Township Police Department news release.

According to the release, officers were dispatched after a report of free-roaming cows on Waldheim Road came in at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When an officer arrived at the scene he observed two cows standing outside of their fenced-in pasture, police said, but “when he drove by the cow it ran into the stone parking lot used for the Waldheim Club which is across the street.”

The cows’ owner, Christine Hess, of the 1900 block of Waldheim Road, will again be cited for failure to keep her animals confined, which is a violation of the township’s nuisance ordinance, police said.
