A local woman says a Toys for Tots drive she helped organize was a big success.

Toys for Tots donated at the American Legion in Hellertown were delivered to local U.S. Marines Tuesday by organizer Cheyenne Reiman.

Cheyenne Reiman of Coldwell Banker Hearthside, Realtors, said the drive concluded Tuesday with the collection of donated new, unwrapped toys at various locations throughout the Hellertown area, including the American Legion, which cosponsored the effort along with the Legion Riders.

Reiman in an email thanked “everyone who generously donated a toy.”

“Their contributions were paramount to the success of the campaign,” she said.

In addition to the Legion, Gruvers (in Richlandtown), the Borough of Hellertown, Salon Mia and Coldwell Banker Hearthside participated by hosting drop-off sites.

Dano Guerrieri of Valley Wide Movers donated his time and the use of a box truck to deliver the toys to the Marines’ warehouse; Neighbors Home & Garden Center donated boxes; and Dollar General made an “abundant donation” that was coordinated by Hellertown Police Officer Dominic Fragano, Reiman said.

She also thanked Saucon Source for helping to publicize the campaign with a story about it.

Reiman said a total of about 20 boxes of various sizes were filled with the donated toys. The boxes “almost filled one level of a 16 foot box truck,” she said, adding that “next year I want to fill not only the entire first floor, but a second level also!”

The floor of a 16-foot box truck was filled with boxes of toys donated for Toys for Tots.
