Blood-Covered Man Taken for Mental Health Treatment, Police Say

A man Lower Saucon Township Police were in search of Tuesday night after it was reported he was “covered in blood” was eventually located and taken for mental health treatment, police said in a news release Wednesday.

Police said they initially received a report that the township resident might want to harm himself, and were able to locate him at about 10 p.m.

“Police were able to locate the man and determine that he had fallen and cut his hand on a piece of glass,” the news release said.

The man then reportedly became blood-covered from wiping his hand onto his pants.

Police said “he was taken to a local hospital to get the help he needed.”

No charges were filed in the case, and the person who told police about the man was informed that he was taken for treatment, police said.
