Lower Saucon Township Police are warning the public about a man they say committed a lewd act behind a home near the popular Saucon Rail Trail Friday.

In a Facebook post made Thursday, police said they received a complaint on Friday, Feb. 19 about a man masturbating near the rear of a property in the 1800 block of Old Mill Road.

Officers were told that around dusk, a “strange” man who “appeared to have something in his hand” was observed at the property’s rear, police said. “Upon viewing the strange person with a pair of binoculars, it was observed that the actor had his penis in his hand, and was in the process of masturbating while facing towards the residence,” they added.

The man was described as white with a medium build and between 5’9″ and 6 feet tall, and was wearing a black ski-type hat and dark clothing at the time, police said.

The resident who saw and reported the masturbator yelled at him to “get out of here,” and “after finishing” he left, police said, reportedly walking on the rail trail toward the bridge at the end of Old Mill Road.

“Please be vigilant and aware of your surroundings while using the Saucon Rail Trail,” police advised. “If you have any information on this incident or you observe suspicious activity, please contact the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-759-2200 or the appropriate jurisdiction where the activity is observed.”
