The Lower Saucon Township Public Works Department will begin its annual spring cleanup of streets from winter snow removal operations on Tuesday, March 29, the township announced on its website.
The sweeping process usually takes about two months to complete.
The order of roads being swept is based on the following six areas within the township “and rotated annually to ensure equality for all of the residents of the township,” according to the website.
- Leithsville Area (east of Leithsville Road/Route 412 and south of Polk Valley Road)
- Bingen (south of Friedensville Road/Black River Road and west of Leithsville Road/Route 412)
- Seidersville Area (west of Mountain Drive and north of Black River Road)
- Steel City Area (north of Easton Road to Steel City)
- Apple Street Area (north of Wassergass Road to Easton Road)
- Wassergass Area (north of Polk Valley Road to Wassergass Road)
Residents can visit the website to see the progress in the weekly schedule. As each road is swept, it will be crossed off the list.
