Saucon Valley High School’s production of the musical “Thoroughly Modern Millie” was nominated for eight Freddy Awards Thursday.
The production received nominations in the following categories:
- Outstanding Overall Production by a Smaller School
The Saucon Valley production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” was nominated for the Outstanding Use of Scenery Freddy Award.
- Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role – Lauren Skillenge as Millie Dillmount
- Vic Kumma Award for Outstanding Solo Vocal Performance – Lauren Skillenge, “Gimme Gimme”
- Oustanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role – Meghan Altemose as Miss Dorothy Brown
- Outstanding Choreography
- Outstanding Small Ensemble Performance – Meghan Altemose, Lauren Skillenge, “How The Other Half Lives”
- Outstanding Use of Costumes
- Outstanding Use of Scenery
Saucon Valley’s version of ‘Millie’ was performed in late February and early March, and featured a large cast and full orchestra.
The Freddy Awards nominations were announced live on Channel 69 on Thursday.
The Awards show will be televised live from Easton’s State Theatre on Channel 69 on Thursday, May 26.
