The members of the St. Michael the Archangel School team that won the Diocesan Academic Bowl in Schuylkill Haven May 7.
On Saturday, May 7 at St. Ambrose School in Schuylkill Haven, a team of students from St. Michael the Archangel School in Upper Saucon Township defeated three other district winners to win the Diocesan Academic Bowl.
The competition consisted of three matches and each match consisted of three rounds.
In the first match, St. Michael defeated Holy Family, Nazareth, 370 -330. In the second match, St. Michael beat St. Jerome by a score of 550 -140. And in the final match, St. Michael defeated St. Ambrose, 445-150.
Congratulations to team members Mary Frances Scheidel (Captain), Julia Roberts, John Fenstermacher, Dylan Alvarez, Liam Gibson, Stephen Miller and Leo Solga.
