A man who police said was reportedly acting unusually outside his home in the 1800 block of Leithsville Road Monday has been charged with disorderly conduct, after he allegedly ran from Lower Saucon officers who responded to check on his welfare, stopped, and then turned to face them holding a weapon in each hand.

In a news release issued Wednesday, police said Christopher Szipocs, 25, was standing outside his home when police arrived shortly after 10:30 p.m.

“He was holding a knife in one hand and a screwdriver in the other hand, but eventually complied with officers’ commands to drop the weapons,” police said.

At that time police said Szipocs was taken into custody.
