Lower Saucon Township Police said Tuesday they’re investigating a case in which someone broke through a front door panel at a home as a case of criminal mischief.

In a news release, police said a resident of the 3600 block of Old Philadelphia Pike reported being startled by a noise around 7:20 p.m. Friday.

“The occupant went downstairs to investigate the loud noise and observed the damage and called for police,” the news release stated.

“It was apparent that someone did break a panel to the front door and was likely spooked off when the lights came on and the occupant started to come down the steps,” police said.

Nobody was observed at the scene by the time officers arrived, they added.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
