Alice R. (Posh) Schmidt, 86, formerly of Hellertown, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Barnabus Medical Center, Livingston, N.J. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Schmidt, who died Nov. 6, 2007. She was born in Bethlehem on Feb. 8, 1931 to the late James M. and Mary T. (Dravitz) Posh. Alice was employed at the former Terri’s IGA, Hellertown, for five years and the former Hellertown Manufacturing for five years. She was of the Catholic faith.
SURVIVORS
Sons: Guy Robert (Ann) Schmidt of North Carolina, Eric John Schmidt (Joseph) of New Jersey; siblings: Edward Posh of Illinois and Mary Jane Pfeiffer of Hellertown. She was predeceased by siblings: James Posh, Marion Ganssle, Dorothy Keglovitz, Helen Brady and half-sister Betty Kilpatrick.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
