The intersection of College Drive and Mountain Drive in Lower Saucon Township was the scene of a hit-and-run accident Tuesday evening, township police say. Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the driver.
Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred at College Drive and Mountain Drive Tuesday evening around 6:45 p.m.
In a news release police said a woman named Nanette was stopped at the stop sign at the end of College Drive, intending to turn right onto Mountain Drive, when her car was hit from behind by another vehicle.
Nanette told police the car that struck her then “sped north on Mountain Drive as she pulled south.”
Police said a witness identified the car as a “black Honda-type vehicle.”
A grill and urethane bumper recovered at the scene–aftermarket replacement parts–confirmed that it was an Acura, they added.
The driver was described as a “young Hispanic male (with) short black hair,” according to the news release.
Anyone with information about the driver or who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
