Marianne (Hari) Yochum, 63, of Hellertown, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Frederick H. Yochum. She was born in Fountain Hill on Nov. 30, 1954 to the late Flora R. (Perverzoff) and the late Steven Hari Jr. Marianne’s first job was at Almart, where she worked in the Drug & Cosmetic Department. She went next to Sure Fit in Bethlehem. She loved her job as a spreader. Married on Oct. 24, 1981, she took four years off when her daughter, Alana, was born. When her daughter began school at Saucon Valley, Marianne began to work in the school cafeteria and stayed eight years. She felt blessed by her many friends. She referred to herself as a “domestic goddess.” Her husband, Fred, always was #1 in her life. She loved to cook and entertain for her family and friends. She loved to bake doggie treats for her boys and passed out tins of treats to her friends and their pets at the holidays. She was a crafter at many area craft shows. As a young woman Marianne taught Sunday School at Christ Lutheran Church. She also served on many committees and sang in the choir. She also sang for many weddings and funerals in the Lehigh Valley area. She always said her voice was a gift from god. She also worked with the church prayer chain. She was a 1972 graduate of Saucon Valley High School. She enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates. She loved to laugh and make people laugh. She felt every day was a gift from God and felt her husband Fred was her best gift from God ever.
