A Lower Saucon Township man is charged with DUI-Highest Rate of Alcohol after police say he allegedly drove a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .32 percent, which is four times the legal limit for most drivers.

According to a post published on the department’s Crimewatch website Friday, Robert M. Madigan, 52, of the 1900 block of White Acre Drive North was arrested Dec. 11 at the intersection of Bingen and Black River roads after a staff member at Taps Tavern on Rt. 378 called police to report that he’d left the establishment without paying a tab of $28.63.

Police said they were able to stop Madigan after obtaining a vehicle description.

Madigan allegedly failed field coordination exercises and was then taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital for a blood draw, police said.

He is also charged with one count of Theft of Services, they added.
