Jason Scott Bate, 32, of Pocono Township, Monroe County died Monday, Sept. 30, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of Brittany N. (Nixon) Bate. Jason was born in Summit, N.J., on April 14, 1987 to Catherine L. (Bridges) Bate of Quakertown and John M. (Leslie Courtney-Bate) Bate of Naples, Fla. He had been a valued member of the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company since July 2010 and also served as an EMT, EMS Lieutenant and volunteer firefighter with Dewey Fire Co. No. 1 in Hellertown. Jason was enrolled in Paramedic School, EMI Institute, Lehigh Valley, and was due to graduate on Dec. 9. He was a 2005 graduate of Saucon Valley High School, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of four years last Feb. 9; parents; son: Braden A. Bate at home; siblings: John M. (Brandy) Bate of Hellertown, Ashley E. Bate of Quakertown; maternal grandfather: Thomas K. Bridges of Spartanburg, S.C.; paternal grandparents: John W. and Barbara M. (Woods) Bate of New Providence, N.J.; nieces: Harley Bate, Lauren Sousa.

SERVICE
