A Reading woman was high on drugs when she allegedly passed while behind the wheel in the middle of W. High Street in late July, Hellertown Police say.

A form of synthetic marijuana is commonly known by the nickname “spice.”

In a news release issued Thursday, police said Diana Colon-Leon, 31, was found behind the wheel of a car with its flashers on shortly before 9 p.m. July 25.

Colon-Leon was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and a blood test later confirmed the presence of cannabinoids in her bloodstream, police stated.

Synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also recovered from her vehicle, they added.

Colon-Leon is facing charges of DUI-Drugs, possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
