A resident of Juniper Road in Hellertown’s Mountainview section reported to police and Saucon Source Sunday that an LED light projector that cast a red and green “star shower” display on the front of her house was stolen sometime Saturday night, much to the disappointment of her children who she said are “upset.”

This LED light projector that casts a moving light show on the side of a home was stolen from Juniper Road, Hellertown, Saturday night, according to its owner.

Stephanie Chambers said that when police came to take a report about the theft, they told her two other neighbors also reported the theft of Christmas lights Saturday night.

“(We have) two sad kiddos here,” she said.

According to Chambers, the light projector cost about $40.

“These are the new trend this year in Christmas lights,” she explained. “Ours was called ‘star shower’ and projected green and red laser lights onto the front of our house that looked like a star shower. There are many different types, some project objects such as swirling lights or snowflakes.”

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact borough police at 610-838-7040.
