The Freemansburg, Hellertown and Lower Saucon Police departments announced Tuesday that they will have extra DUI patrols on local roads this Sunday, Feb. 7, which is Super Bowl Sunday and a day when many area residents which will be watching the game at bars and private parties where alcohol is being served.
“If you are going to drink, police urge you to have a designated driver,” Lower Saucon Township Police said in a post on their Facebook page.
Super Bowl 50 will begin at 6:30 p.m. (ET). The Denver Broncos will play against the Carolina Panthers.
A recent DUI checkpoint conducted by Pennsylvania State Police in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, resulted in four DUI arrests, state police said Tuesday.
