Man Passed Fake $100 Bill at Hellertown Convenience Store, Police Say

A Bethlehem man has been charged with forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property, after Hellertown Police say he allegedly used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase a pack of Newport cigarettes and two packages of rolling papers at Top Star Express, 1570 Main St., on the evening of Feb. 12.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Kevin M. Taraffa, 22, will be sent summons’ for the charges by mail.
