Ribbon-Cutting Held at Hellertown Bakery

Est. Read Time: 3 mins

Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce board chairman/borough council president Tom Rieger helps Hellertown Bakery owners Leiane McCarty and Joe Ciamprone cut the ribbon at their store Saturday morning. The bakery opened for business in early April.

Although it’s been open for a couple of months, an official ribbon-cutting hosted by the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce was held at the Hellertown Bakery on Main Street Saturday morning amid a festive atmosphere.

Owners Leiane McCarty and Joe Ciamprone thanked about 20 people who gathered inside the store for the event for their support for the bakery, which sells everything from pastries to fresh bread/rolls to custom-made cakes.

A variety of delicious free samples including pulled pork sandwiches prepared by The Culinary Experience Catering of Hellertown (using Hellertown Bakery rolls) and custard-filled shortbread cups topped with fresh fruit were offered to guests.

The bakery also sells coffee and Ciamprone said they plan to expand their product line to include donuts in the future.

Hellertown Bakery is located at 612 Main St., near the intersection of Main and Penn streets.

It is open Tuesday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For more information, call (610) 838-1025 or visit the bakery’s Facebook page.
