A 32-year-old Hellertown man is charged with two counts of making terroristic threats against American Legion Post 397, 935 Main St., Hellertown, after police say he was at the Legion bar early Thursday and allegedly threatened to return to “shoot this (expletive) up,” according to a Lehigh Valley Live news story.

According to the story, Brett Matthew Getz, of the 1300 block of Easton Road, was arrested and later ordered by a judge to stay away from the Legion after a bartender and two witnesses corroborated his alleged threats by making written statements.

Court records indicate that Getz was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $1,000 bail following a preliminary arraignment before District Judge Patricia Broscius Thursday morning.

A preliminary hearing in his case is scheduled for May 9 at 9 a.m. before District Judge Elizabeth Romig-Gainer.
