While taking a walk the other day a thought crossed my mind. People ask me all the time how I see so many hearts, feathers, repetitive numbers and spiritual signs almost every day. One thing is that I ask for signs. In the past I didn’t always see them. There are days even now when I will think, “I haven’t seen any hearts today.” Then it seems within minutes, I see one.
In my sessions, I always make sure to tell everyone that if they want to see a sign, they must ask. That is always the first thing you will want to do. The second thing you want to do is be aware. How we become aware is to clear our mind. When our minds are busy, we may miss the signs. The good news is that spirit never stops sending them. Meditation is the most effective way for me to clear my head. It has benefited so many others as well. It doesn’t stop there though. When I find myself without my gratitude glasses on, I do not see as many signs.
Gratitude glasses? Yes. The invisible glasses of a clear mind only focused on blessings. How many of you seriously take time to just be thankful? When we are in gratitude, miracles happen all around us. When we aren’t, we may be blind to the blessings that are right in front of us. It doesn’t matter what type of day you are having; you can always think thoughts of gratitude. It’s just as easy as putting on a pair of glasses. Tools which I use to help me focus on gratitude and turn my bad day into a blessing:
Writing in a Gratitude Journal
Setting intentions before I start my day
Meditation
Exercise
Spending time in nature: walking, jogging, gardening, etc.
Asking for signs
Watching a comedy
Reading
Engaging in any artistic craft
Writing down my fears and burning the list
Writing affirmations
Engaging in acts of kindness
Singing while listening to my favorite music
Writing/Journaling
Looking up and sharing inspirational quotes
There are so many ways we can turn our thoughts to gratitude. Never get out of bed without your gratitude glasses. Life is too short to be miserable. Starting Nov. 1 I will start posting a gratitude challenge on Facebook. I invite you to join along or start your own challenge. And don’t be surprised when you start seeing more and more blessings in your life.
