Bond With Baby at Yoga at St. Luke’s Baby & Me Support Center (Sponsored)

Est. Read Time: 2 mins

The new St. Luke’s Baby & Me Support Center is now hosting yoga classes for babies and moms or caregivers. The classes, held at St. Luke’s Baby & Me Support Center at 1425 Eighth Avenue in Bethlehem, cost $15 per class and focus on movement, bonding, flexibility and helping moms get back into shape after pregnancy.

Infants as young as six weeks can benefit from the restorative power of yoga. Not only does the movement and stretching in yoga promote flexibility, it can also relieve colic, constipation and gas, help establish a sleeping pattern and nurture a feeling of safety and security, essential for a baby’s emotional and physical development. One of the biggest benefits for moms, babies and caregivers is that yoga gives everyone the chance to relax and focus on being together, which helps reduce stress in what can be a stressful time.

The yoga classes for babies and moms or caregivers are part of St. Luke’s commitment to support moms and families as they get to know and care for their babies. A baby blanket, a few toys and a desire to cuddle are the only equipment required.

To register for the class, please visit the St. Luke’s website calendar or call 1-866-STLUKES (785-8537) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
