PPL Electric Utilities will begin planned work on a power line in Lower Saucon and Salisbury townships using a helicopter on Monday, Sept. 24, the township said Tuesday in a statement.

The work is expected to conclude that week and will take place in the area of Rt. 378, West Raders Lane, Illes Lane, Old Philadelphia Pike, Fire Lane, Seidersville Road (behind the road at the back end of properties) in Lower Saucon Township, and in the area of Alder Lane, Church Road and Franko Farm Recreation Area on Black River Road in Salisbury Township.

“PPL reminds customers that this work is needed to maintain safe and reliable service,” the township said, adding that door-to-door notifications of customers who will be impacted will begin Tuesday, Sept. 18.
