A Hellertown man has been charged with two counts of Misdemeanor 1 Terroristic Threats and two counts of summary harassment, according to police and court records.

Brian Dennis Buck Jr., 37, of the 1300 block of Detweiler Avenue, Hellertown was charged after officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress at 10:12 p.m. Saturday, according to a police news release issued Monday.

A criminal complaint filed in district court by Ofc. Jacob Fouts alleges that Buck and his wife were arguing outside their home when Fouts arrived at the scene.

“During an interview, (she) stated that in a drunken rage the defendant grabbed their 9-year-old son…and threatened to punch him in the face,” the complaint states.

It is also alleged in the complaint that Buck threatened to pay someone to kill his wife, and that he shoved and poked her.

According to court records, he was released on $5,000 unsecured bail following a preliminary arraignment before Judge Douglas Schlegel Sunday morning.

A preliminary arraignment for Buck is scheduled for Dec. 28 at 9:30 a.m. before District Judge Alan Mege at District Court 03-2-04 in Lower Saucon Township.
