A flyer for the “Songbirds in the Park” free concert that will be held Sunday, June 2 at 1 pm in Dimmick Park, Hellertown.

The free summer concert season in Hellertown will begin early and harmoniously this year, with an event called “Songbirds in the Park” in Dimmick Park on Sunday, June 2 at 1 p.m.

The “Songbirds” are four local singers who recently began performing together. The members of the group are: Ameliarose, who can be seen on the current season of American Idol; singer-songwriter Emily Noel; singer-songwriter and Josie award winner Leah Fuls; and singer-songwriter Kennedy Pacchioli of Saucon Valley, who at 12 is the group’s youngest member.

A seventh-grader at Saucon Valley Middle School, Pacchioli will be debuting her first single at the concert; a song her mother/manager, Michele, said she is currently writing and recording with producer Andrew Chervak at Midnight Studios in Easton.

A piano and voice student since she was a young child, Kennedy has studied both under Jacqueline Ballarin at Saucon Valley Music in Hellertown since the age of seven.

Michele said her daughter is already a veteran local performer, having sung at events such as Relay for Life, Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Day, the Warren County Fair and Christkindlmarkt.

“In elementary school she participated in the Panther Players for two years,” Michele Pacchioli said. “She has also been a part of all the middle school plays including The Wizard of Oz, Annie Jr. and Willy Wonka, in which she played the Candyman.”

There will be refreshments sold in the park pavilion during the concert to help raise funds for the Songbirds.

Those planning to attend the free show can bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn in front of the bandshell.
