Likely remembered by longtime residents as the Downing Funeral Home (now located on W. Broad Street in Bethlehem), this 3,328 square-foot brick Victorian structure most recently housed Coaches Florist, which relocated to E. Broad Street in Bethlehem.
Inside it retains much of its period c. 1890 charm, including an ornate fireplace with an elaborately carved mantel, pocket doors, high ceilings and gleaming natural woodwork.
Outside there is a porte-cochere (carriage porch) on the building’s north side, along with a 15-space parking lot that could accommodate the needs of a variety of business uses.
An apartment is located on the building’s second story, and according to an online real estate listing, the current setup might suit the business needs of an owner-occupant.
