In addition to federal offices, some other governmental offices and courts will be closed.
Here is a list of what will be closed (or open) in our area Monday.
CLOSED
- Commonwealth offices and courts
- Social Security Administration offices
- PennDOT driver’s license service centers (also closed Saturday, Jan. 13)
- Northampton County offices and courts
- Saucon Valley School District schools
- U.S. Postal Service (no mail delivery)
- Hellertown Area Library
- Most banks and major financial institutions
OPEN
- Pennsylvania wine and spirits stores (if normally open on a Monday)
- Borough of Hellertown municipal offices*
- Lower Saucon Township municipal offices
- Most retail stores and restaurants
- FedEx and UPS delivery and pickup services
*Note: The Hellertown Borough Council meeting normally scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. will instead be held Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall.
