A Kennett Square, Chester County, woman who allegedly passed out behind the wheel several times and drove the wrong way down Skibo Road hill last month has been charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, Lower Saucon Township Police said Monday in a news release.
According to police, Rachael Anne Calderin, 35, was found to be “lethargic” and “unsteady on her feet” after she was stopped on the morning of April 16.
Kochsmeier called 911 and followed Calderin into Hellertown borough–where she was stopped near the intersection of Main and Walnut streets–on what he later described as a “scary” ride.
A blood test at St. Luke’s University Hospital confirmed that Calderin was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the ride, police said.
She is also charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the news release.
