If you’re a property owner in the Saucon Valley School District, you most likely won’t have a higher tax bill when the district’s 2019-2020 real estate tax bills go out this summer.
The Saucon Valley School Board Tuesday voted unanimously to hold the line on taxes with their approval of the district’s proposed $47,370,399 budget, which following a public review period must be adopted by the end of June.
The current millage rate for property owners in the district is 53.43 mills.
One mill is equivalent to $1 for every $1,000 of a property’s assessed value, so someone who owns a property that’s assessed at $100,000 will pay approximately $5,340 in school district real estate tax annually.
The median Northampton County property value is $220,800.
