What Should Go There: Former Pharmacy, FroYo Shop?

Est. Read Time: 2 mins

Hellertown Pharmacy closed almost four ago, and YoFresh Yogurt Cafe closed in November in the Shoppes at Hellertown on Main Street.

The year 2016 saw the opening of many new businesses in Hellertown, including Lost Tavern Brewing, Sacred SpaceHellertown Bakery, Charming Grace BoutiqueLimon Authentic Turkish Kebap House and Hellertown Crossroads Hotel (under new ownership).

Unfortunately it also saw several businesses close, including YoFresh Yogurt Cafe, which was located in the Shoppes at Hellertown retail center on Main Street.

YoFresh closed in November–after being open for a little over a year–and left another hole in the row of storefronts at the small shopping center that is also home to businesses such as B&B Pools, H&R Block, DiMaio’s, Dollar General, Dolce Patisserie, Spring Hill Cleaners, National Auto Stores and Saucon True Value.

Next door to YoFresh is an empty storefront that was last occupied by Hellertown Pharmacy, which closed in early 2013.

That space is currently for lease by KW Commercial, The James Balliet Commercial Group, according to signs posted in the window, although it doesn’t appear there has been a lot of interest in it over the past four years.

A search of the James Balliet Commercial Group’s current online listings did not yield any results for the pharmacy space, nor did a search for its address: 11 Main St., Hellertown, Pa.

What would you like to see open where the pharmacy and frozen yogurt shop were located in 2017? Would you prefer to see two different businesses open there, or one larger business that would combine the spaces? Share your ideas in a comment about this story.
