Work related to construction project in Upper Saucon Township will result in the temporary closure of part of Passer Road for several weeks in November, according to township officials.

In an Oct. 16 announcement posted on the township’s website, they announced that work related to the construction of a Wawa at Passer Road and Rt. 309 will require the closure of Passer Road between Main Street and Rt. 309 beginning the week of Nov. 2.

“A PennDOT and township-approved detour (will be) in place from approximately Nov. 2, 2020 to Nov. 25, 2020, with local access only,” the announcement said. “Access to private, residential driveways and emergency services will be provided.”

This construction site at Rt. 309 and Passer Road in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, will soon be home to a Wawa gas station and convenience store. Due to work that is taking place, the section of Passer Road between Rt. 309 and Main Street will be closed to traffic for several weeks in November. Township officials said a detour will be in place beginning the week of Nov. 2.
