The ban does not apply to propane or gas stoves, charcoal briquet grills or tobacco in any form. Campground campfires within fire rings that contain and confine the campfire and are free of flammable materials within 5 feet are also still permitted, officials said.
According to a county news release, violation of the ban is a summary offense punishable by fines starting at $100 for a first offense, under state law.
