“At The GIANT Company, we are thankful for our local food bank and food pantry partners and their work to eliminate hunger all year long, especially around the holidays when a nourishing meal is central to celebrations,” said John Ruane, president of The GIANT Company. “Because of our meaningful partnerships with charitable food organizations and our generous suppliers, more than 125,000 servings of protein will be shared with families in need this Thanksgiving, creating moments to savor together,” Ruane added.

In addition to the turkey donation, GIANT team members will be volunteering their time at food banks, assisting with packing hunger relief boxes and restocking shelves.

“We are incredibly grateful to The GIANT Company for their turkey donation and all their support throughout the year,” said York County Food Bank president and CEO Jennifer Brillhart. “During the holiday season, our goal is to provide our neighbors with essential food items so they can gather around the table and enjoy a meal together. This donation from The GIANT Company helps to ensure that families across York County will receive a holiday meal.”

GIANT customers are also invited to participate in the fight against hunger by donating their free turkey certificates to local food banks at in-store registers from Nov. 15 to Nov. 28. Customers can also choose to purchase reusable bags, with proceeds benefiting regional food banks.

More information about the turkey donation program and the certificate redemption process can be found on the GIANT Food Stores website at GiantFoodStores.com.
