Do you have strong opinions about the Saucon Valley School District? If you do, you now have a golden opportunity to be heard.
Late last week, the district launched an online “Parent and Community Survey” that superintendent Monica McHale-Small said in an email “will be used to help us to better understand the strengths and needs of the district.”
“Many of the questions are derived from the district’s current strategic plan,” she added.
Each question within the survey asks participants to strongly agree, agree, disagree or strongly disagree with a particular statement. If someone has no opinion about the statement, there is the opportunity to register a response of “No Opinion.”
One statement survey-takers are asked to evaluate is whether “there is a clear sense of mutual respect among the educational community of SVSD, a community that consists of students, teachers, parents, administrators, board and community members.”
Participants are also asked about whether or not they feel fortunate to live in the Saucon Valley School District.
According to an introduction found on the first page of the survey, the results will “help us to understand if various stakeholder groups differ in their perceptions of the district and the job we are doing educating all of the children of Saucon Valley.”
The survey link will remain open until Nov. 30.
