Man Ripped Out Golf Ball-Sized Chunk of Woman’s Hair, Police Say

A resident of the 3000 block of Scenic View Lane, Lower Saucon Township, was arrested and committed to Northampton County Prison on charges of simple assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly ripped out a golf ball-sized chunk of a woman’s hair and dragged her by her hair during a domestic assault Tuesday, according to court records cited by the Express-Times.

According to the newspaper, Joseph R. Brown, 36, also used a stick to shatter the front window of the woman’s car, which had a two-month-old and a one-year-old seated inside it at the time of the alleged altercation.
