Members of the Hellertown Planning Commission will discuss a sketch plan for the redevelopment of the Murray Motors property at 708 Main Street at their meeting Wednesday, according to a meeting agenda.
According to the agenda, the plans for the well-known former car dealership have been submitted by Greystone Capital, 559 Main St., Bethlehem.
Greystone Capital is a domestic business corporation owned by prominent Lehigh Valley developer Lou Pektor, according to a record posted on the website Bizapedia.
Pektor has had a hand in developing many commercial properties in the Bethlehem area, and in October submitted a proposal to build an 11-building office park near the William Penn Highway Park-and-Ride along Route 33 in Bethlehem Township, according to an article published by the Morning Call.
The Murray Motors property is located in the borough’s Town Center zoning district, and a borough official said following its recent sale that it likely won’t remain a car dealership.
The planning commission meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St., Hellertown.
