Est. Read Time: < 1 min

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a pretty big high school football game Saturday night and it involves Saucon Valley.bolas-de-futebol-americano

The Panthers  (10-1) will play the Bethlehem Catholic Golden Hawks (also 10-1) for the District 11 AAA championship at Bethlehem Area School District Stadium at 7:05 p.m.

Here are some other things to know before you go:

1. The Golden Hawks are the defending District 11 AAA champions. The last time the Panthers won the district title was as a 2A team in 2004 against Pine Grove, according to the Morning Call.

2. Saucon Valley is in the finals round of the playoffs because of last Saturday’s 20-17 victory over the Southern Lehigh Spartans.

3. Temperatures at the game will be cold. If the current forecast holds true, it will be just 33 degrees when the game starts, so be sure to dress appropriately.

4. Parking in the area of the BASD stadium can be in short supply when there’s a big game, so be prepared to walk a couple of blocks to get to the ticket booth.

5. Saucon head coach Matt Evancho told the Express-Times that he’s OK with his team being underdogs heading into the matchup, as the Panthers have been underdogs all season long–including at last week’s game against Southern Lehigh.
