Russell W. ‘Rusty’ Schaeffer Sr., 57, of Upper Saucon [OBITUARY]

Russell W. “Rusty” Schaeffer Sr., 57, of Upper Saucon Township died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Susan M. (Luttinen) Schaeffer. He was born in Allentown on Oct. 20, 1957 to Joyce (Weaver) Schaeffer and the late Samuel Schaeffer. Russell served our country faithfully in the U.S. Marines during peacetime. He was a maintenance technician for Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, for many years and previously at the former Riegel Paper Mill, Riegelsville, for 24 years in various capacities. He was a member of Passer Community Association.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 29 years; sons: Russell W. Jr. (Aimee), Ryan W.;  stepson: Michael L. Luttinen; siblings: Audrey M. (Dan) Seidman, Susan, Janelle, Nicole (Brian) Delong, Paulette, Samuel Jr. (Phyllis), Jesse; two grandchildren: Michael L. Luttinen Jr. and Dylan Kurtz. He was predeceased by brother: Martin Weaver.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 and 9:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The interment will conclude services at Blue Church Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township.
