Helen Yeakel, 89, formerly of Lower Saucon Township, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late William A. Yeakel (died Aug. 22, 2009). Helen was born in Bethlehem on May 19, 1925 to the late John M. and Mary T. (Dudash) Kuti. She was a payroll clerk for Spirax Sarco in Allentown for 25 years until retiring in 1987. Prior work included working as a clerk for UGI, Bethlehem, for three years and a clerk for Bethlehem Steel from 1943 to 1948.
SURVIVORS
Children: Robert J. Andrasek of Bethlehem, John S. (Christine Peloghitis) Andrasek of Red Hill, Dennis W. (Debbie) Yeakel of Bethlehem, Evelyn M. Keiser of Macungie, Susan L. (John) Kennedy of New Tripoli; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by siblings: William R. Kuti and Violet Loften.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
