Henry E. Heil, 88, of Hellertown (OBITUARY)

Henry E. Heil, 88, of Hellertown, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at Weston Rehab & Nursing  Center, Lower Saucon Township. He was born in Bethlehem on Dec. 23, 1925 to the late Henry J. and Verta E. (Hedrick) Heil. Henry served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II. Henry worked in Quality Assurance at Allied Chemical, Bethlehem, for many years and then for Northampton County Mental Health and Retardation for eight years until retiring. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hellertown, Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown, Dewey Fire Co. No. 1 and Se-Wy-Co Fire Co.

SURVIVORS

Son: Donald H. (Terri) of Hellertown; siblings: Robert H. of Hellertown, Elaine (Richard) Fillman of Oreland; grandchildren: Jared and Connor. He was predeceased by siblings: James A., Richard A., Virginia Bodder.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10 a.m. The interment with military honors will conclude services at Friedensville Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township.
