Police Investigating Hit-and-Run Accidents at SVSD Campus

Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating two hit-and-run accidents that occurred less than a day apart in Saucon Valley School District parking lots, according to news releases issued Monday.

The first accident occurred Thursday, when police say a white vehicle that may have been a Ford Escape backed into an unoccupied car that was parked in the stadium parking area on the school district campus.

Police said it was reported that the responsible vehicle then headed west on Polk Valley Road.

The next day, police said a car that was parked in the Saucon Valley Elementary School lot was damaged in a separate hit-and-run accident that occurred sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Police said there was damage to the front bumper of the car.

The damaged car was a rental vehicle for an Emmaus woman whose personal vehicle was damaged in another accident that occurred last week on Bingen Road and involved a mail truck.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run accidents that occurred in the school district parking areas is asked to call Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-317-6110.
