Dorothy May Pearson, 87, of Hellertown, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the widow of Robert E. Pearson (died Aug. 26, 1983). Dorothy was born in Hellertown on Jan. 6, 1927 to the late Calvert E. and Rachel A. (Gardner) Unangst. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown, a past volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital for more than 4,000 hours, a member of the Hellertown Historical Society and inducted into the Bethlehem Hall of Fame Bowling League.
SURVIVORS
Children: Patricia Jean (William) Panther, Kathleen Mae Pearson (Gregg Snyder), Robert George Pearson, all of Bisbee, Ariz., Ret. Lt. Col. Bradley James (Jocelen) Pearson of Leesburg, Va.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by siblings: Calvert E. Unangst, Amy J. Henick, Anna C. Wolst; and grandson: Grant R. Pearson.
SERVICE
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Main St., Hellertown. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown. Expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
